Dr. David Ardsley: ‘There is no cure for depression’
An internal medicine doctor who was fired from his job after admitting to having anorexia nervosa has become a hero in his hometown of Louisville, Kentucky, after he was diagnosed with the condition.
Dr. David “Goliath” Ardsly was fired after he admitted to having the condition in his hospital room and after he said he was on the brink of death.
His wife and two children are also in the hospital.
The condition is a serious and irreversible condition and requires intensive care.
The doctors office, the hospital, his home and his wife are covered by insurance.
He had to sell his home to pay for the hospitalization and the insurance.
Dr. Ardsys family and doctors were devastated by the news.
He is a hero, said his wife, Melissa Ardsleys.
I’m not sure we could have done anything without him, she said.
We’re so grateful that he is here.
